Graduation Day

The Graduation ceremony for the outgoing batch of II PUC, student was held on 03.02.2018 in the college quadrangle. The theme of the ceremony was “Go light the world.” The chief guest for the day was Rev. Fr. Melwyn Pinto SJ, the first principal of St Joseph’s Indian Composite PU College. The evening started with the graduation march of outgoing students followed by the handing over the college flag by the outgoing president of the student council Ms Arya Muralidharan to the student designates of I PUC to signify the change of guard.

Ms Swathi Dhamaraju and Master Alex Johnson shared their experiences of PU life and wished their batchmates well. Mr Sureeh Doreswamy, a parent of Ms Ankitha Suresh of MSBA expressed his gratitude to the college on behalf of all the parents and extolled the students to follow their heart in career decision.

Rev Fr Henry Saldanha SJ, the principal of the College gave the commencement message. Rev Fr Leo Pereira presided over the ceremony and gave the presidential address. The Chief Guest Fr. Melwin Pinto was honoured to have the conscience of a world citizen and urged the students to help create a world without borders.”

Students who excelled in academics, sports and cultural field were honoured with mementoes and certificates by the dignitaries. Ms Sowjnya N of MSBA was honoured with “Best outgoing student” award. The ceremony concluded with a candle procession to the theme song “Carry your candle and go light” the world.
