Hindi Club

“Sujan”, the Inter-college Debate Competition conducted on 5 August 2017 by the Hindi Club began by invoking God’s presence through a bhajan. This was followed by a speech given by the Vice Principal Mr. Vinod Amrithraj which had a powerful impact on the crowd. The debate was on the controversies regarding the expression of personal freedom and fundamental rights and how this in turn leads to the fading away of Indian culture and tradition.

The event was judged by two eminent persons in the field, Dr Santosh Kumar Mishra and Dr Anamika Awasthi. 13 teams from various colleges consisting 2 students each participated in the debate. After a neck and neck competition, Mount Carmel College bagged the first place followed by Vidya Nikethan and St. Joseph’s PU College. The event was concluded by giving away prizes for all the winners.
