A formal welcome to the returning students of SJICPUC and marking the beginning of a new academic year was done on 30th May 2019. It was presided over, by Fr. Leo Pereira S J, the Rector of St Joseph’s Indian Institution. Students with 100% attendance and the toppers of the academic year 2018-2019, Ms. Deephsika Ghai, Ms. Sahana. M and Ms. Keerthi. M were felicitated in the midst of their juniors. The annual college magazine “Prathidhwani” was also released during this programme. In this way, we welcomed our returing Josephite with motivation.

Jescol seminar was held from 27th May, Monday to 29th May, Wednesday. The newly appointed staff members of college along with few other staff members attended the three day seminar. The seminar was inaugurated by Rector Rev Fr Leo Pereira SJ and the introduction to the seminar was given by Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ., the convener of Jescol seminar. St Joseph's Indian composite PU College conducted the farewell party for the outgoing students of batch 2017-19 on 17 January 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the college auditorium.
The students of 1st PU along with the teachers organised a power pack program which included dance, drama and what not. The students were requested to come in ethnic wear as their theme for the day. On December 19, as part of the Christmas celebrations, various competitions like card making, star making and live crib were conducted for the students after college hours. Students were given 60 minutes for the same and there was a notable response from every class. These competitions were judged by Fr. Felix Anand SJ and Fr. Arun Lobo SJ, and prizes were awarded to the winners.

The programme began with a heartfelt invocation followed by the Fr Henry Saldanha’s address.
