Institution Day

St Joseph's Indian Institution celebrated its first Institutional Day for the academic year 2019-2020 at St Joseph's School auditorium on March 13, 2020. The guest speaker was Fr Fredrick D'Silva SJ. Fr Leo Pereira SJ, the rector, presided over the event in the presence of the unit heads of all the St Joseph's Indian Institutions. On the 26 of January 2020, the Republic Day of India was celebrated in the quadrangle of St Joseph’s Indian High School with students and staff from all the units of St Joseph’s Indian Institutions. Outreach Program – Social Service League

As part of Sparsha, the outreach program of SJICPUC, Social Service League representatives along with Christian Students Association representatives and few staff members visited an orphanage Infant Jesus Charity Home, Cox town on 14 th December 2019. The charity home houses around 35 orphans and is run by the Mysore daises. An amount of Rs 35876/- and a sewing machine was gifted to the orphanage. SSL members along with other staff and students of SJICPUC were part of a Walkathon organised by UDAK foundation. The 5k walkathon was for the cause of Safe drinking water for government schools. The walkathon started with Zumba dance in St Joseph’s football ground. The walk was flag offed at 7am by the members of UDAK foundation. Mr Neethi Prakasam, an alumni of St Joseph’s Indian High School of the 1960’s batch and his wife Mrs Prakasam annually sponsor for the education of 25 students of the school along with providing scholarships worth 1 lakh for the eligible students annually. As a part of Twinning Program, students from Loyola CBSE School, Sindagi visited St Joseph's Indian Institutions to take part in the Sports Day Celebration of St Joseph's CBSE unit. They participated and won in inter-school relay and running race competitions. The school has taken the responsibility of going on a rally to prevent drug abuse. The neighbouring Josephite institutions and many other colleges took part in the rally.
