Union Day

January 17, 2019

St Joseph's Indian composite PU College conducted the farewell party for the outgoing students of batch 2017-19 on 17 January 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the college auditorium.
The students of 1st PU along with the teachers organised a power pack program which included dance, drama and what not. The students were requested to come in ethnic wear as their theme for the day. The program began with a prayer for the students to reflect upon their last two years and give thanks to the almighty. The host for the day was delighted. We had a welcome speech which was energetic and warm. Following this, we had a soul-stirring dance by the dance club students which moved the audience. We then had our teachers entertaining us through a drama which was amusing and humorous. Students loved every bit of it. A chucklesome and nostalgic speech was given for the students - 'a walk down memory lane'. Followed by this we had our 2nd PU band perform for the crowd one last time. Then we had the student council president of SJIC PUC speak about the experiences on behalf of the outgoing batch. Father Henry Saldanha the director of SJICPUC gave a heart warming talk to the outgoing batch. Last but not the least we had the vote of thanks to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed towards the success of the program.
The students indeed enjoyed their day and left with warm thoughts to cherish.
