Teacher's Day - 2018 ( Students Level )

September 05, 2018

We celebrate Teacher's day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan- second president of India. The great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomats, scholar, president of Indian and above all, a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teacher's day.
A celebration was conducted in our college in the quadrangle. The whole function was planned and conducted by the student council members and student volunteers. It was decided that the student volunteers would look after the discipline maintained by the students throughout the programme.
As per the Indian culture, we always start our work with a payer. Then comes the most important part of the programme, honoring the teaching and non-teaching staff with a flower, a greeting card and a candle as a small token of appreciation. This was followed by the cultural activities. This included a dance and 2 song performances by the students.
There was active participation noticed from the students. Approximately 25 students participated in the events. Nevertheless, the non-participants kept the environment enthusiastic and cheerful. The teachers seemed very pleased with the whole event.
