The student council election was conducted in 2 rounds. The Representative election was held on 10 June 2019 and Student Council Leader’s election was held on 13th June 2019 . It was headed by the committee comprising of Mr. Jitendra Mewara, (Co-ordinator), Ms. Shiyona , M.s Elma and Ms. Akshaya and Mr. Anthony Lucas.
The Representative election was conducted in their respective classes for 3 post Academic, Cultural and Sports representative. Total 54 representative were elected from 18 classes. Only II PUC elected representative were eligible to contest for Student Council Leader Election.
The event started with the ‘Big Fight’ where the candidates nominated for the various posts in the student council were given 2 minutes to convince their fellow Josephites to vote in favour of them. The candidates explained the purpose of their candidature. Following this, the expert panel comprising of three members asked the candidates certain questions each.
54 elected representative were given the privilege to cast their vote and select the student council Leader on behalf of Student Community.
The total votes were tallied and the results were announced in the Auditorium by Chief Election Commissioner Ms. Shwetha D S (Co-ordinator of Computer Science Dept.).
