Graduation Day

The Graduation Day for the outgoing batch of 2017-19 was held on January 18, 2019. The programme was presided over by the Rector of the Institution, Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira SJ, the Director Rev. Fr. Henry Saldanha SJ, the Principal Mr. Vinod Amrithraj and the Vice Principal Dr Flora D’souza. The Chief Guest for the programme was Mr. H Padamchand Khincha, a renowned tax consultant and an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Indian High School. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Rev. Fr. Vincent Pinto, the Finance Officer of St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions, Rev. Fr. Deepak, the Director of St. Joseph’s Community College, and Mr. Mumtaz, the President and Mr. Lokanath, the Secretary of SJII Alumni.
The solemn occasion began with the honouring of the outgoing students followed by the graduation march and prayer service. A couple of students and one parent came forth to share their experiences of the two years in the institution. The Chief Guest Mr. Khincha also shared his valuable thoughts and enlightened the students on the realities of life. Student achievers from various fields such as academics, sports and cultural activities were felicitated. Ms. S Shivani of II HEPyS received the award for the Best Outgoing Student of the 2017-19 batch. The programme ended with the candle-light procession where the students moved out imbibing the theme and vision of being a Josephite to make the world a better place to live in.
