The Department of Hindi was established in the year 2006 with the objective of promoting the Hindi language and its vast literary heritage. Since its inception, the department has been a centre for academic excellence, literary exploration and cultural enrichment. Through a combination of traditional literary studies and contemporary critical approaches, the department empowers students to become thoughtful scholars, educators and contributors to society.

To promote interdisciplinary research and engagement with contemporary social, Environmental and cultural issues through the lens of Hindi literature.
Preserving and promoting the richness of Hindi literature and Indian cultural traditions. Building meaningful partnership with other academic institutions, writers and literary organizations.
Literary Seminars and Conferences are conducted on the themes related to Hindi literature environmental issues, cultural studies and modern literary criticism.
Celebration of Hindi Diwas: The department celebrates Hindi Diwas every year and conducts various inter class competitions like Poetry recitation, Creative Writing, Collage making, Debate, essay writing.
