The Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Indian Composite Pre-University College with great enthusiasm, bringing together staff, students, and the wider community in the spirit of faith, service, justice, and excellence. The celebrations began on 25 June 2026 with a joyful Staff Celebration, followed by a solemn Eucharistic Celebration on 26 June, which provided a meaningful spiritual beginning to the festivities. A series of engaging competitions added vibrancy to the celebrations. The Lucky Draw Quiz on the Life of St. Ignatius, conducted by Ms. Mary Salomi, witnessed enthusiastic participation. The Blackboard Art Competition, coordinated by Ms. Alisha, saw 22 teams of five students each, while the Sketching Competition attracted 45 participants, showcasing creativity inspired by Ignatian values. The celebrations culminated on 30 June 2026 with the Student Feast Celebration, which beautifully blended faith, culture, and institutional pride. A highlight of the programme was the captivating theme dance on “Justice and Equality,” portraying the Jesuit commitment to building a just, inclusive, and compassionate society. The Ignatius celebrations were more than a series of events; they were a vibrant expression of the institution’s Jesuit ethos and its commitment to nurturing young people who are intellectually competent and deeply rooted in faith, justice, and service.
