Independence Day

St. Joseph’s Indian Institute celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 at the institution's football ground with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest Lt. Cdr. Anil Prem D’Souza along with the Rector, Director, Principals and Vice-Principals of the five institutions. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting, national salute, National Anthem and March Past, followed by a prayer dance and welcome address. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, inspiring the students with a message of patriotism and national responsibility. The celebration featured cultural performances by students from different units of St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions. SJICPUC students presented a special dance on “Unsung Heroes of Karnataka,” portraying the contributions of Karnataka’s freedom fighters. The programme also included the prize distribution for the Fashion Walk themed “Evolution of Indian Fashion” and concluded with the Presidential Address by the Rector and a vote of thanks.
