On 6th June 2025, 15 students from the SSL Club participated in the World Environment Day Celebration – BluGreen Showcase, organized by BBMP at the U.R. Rao Auditorium, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru. The event took place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and featured several distinguished guests, including Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, officials from BBMP, BWSSB, BMTC, BMRDA, and BBMRD. The objective was to raise climate awareness among the youth and promote the formation of Climate Action Clubs in educational institutions. Led by SSL Club Coordinator Mr. Anthony Lucas, the students engaged in a public exhibition that highlighted climate resilience strategies, innovations by citizens, and interactive sessions hosted by students, NGOs, and civic bodies. The program emphasized community-driven environmental solutions and the role of youth in shaping a sustainable future. The event had a meaningful impact by increasing student awareness and responsibility toward environmental issues. It encouraged eco-conscious living, inspired climate action, and motivated the participants to lead green initiatives in their communities.
